Ngozi's hard, rocky, laterite soil combined with careful planting, tending, harvest, and processing, yields dense coffees that take heat beautifully in the roaster and showcase a bigger profile than coffee from ts neighbor, Kayanza Province.
These coffees are separated by hill and community, honoring the microclimates within their reach. Pierre Nzeyimana and his three sons manage the washing station and the entire process of farm to cup.
In the cup we are tasting honeydew melon, brown sugar sweetness, and candied peach.
